I should have posted this yesterday but as usual, I got a little busy :-) It seemed like it was going to be a beautiful day. The skies were blue, there was a little sunshine beaming through the clouds until about noon. The children and I were preparing to go and run some errands before their rehersal for church. We were strolling through the apartment gathering what we needed to take care of what we needed to do. Faith (2) decides to start removing clothes while I go get more diapers to put in her bag. I walk back redress her and tell the other two to get their shoes and socks on. They follow directions step outside and say "mom, can we just wear a light jacket, its not to cold." I walk to the door, step outside to confirm it and we all wore light jackets. Right at the top of the stairwell BOOM came the storm. Maddie yells out "Mommy the flood is coming." We all looked at each other and shared a laugh. Sense it still wasn't cold we sat down and talked about the water cycle and precipitation while we watched the rain. THANK GOD for the unplanned lesson that we had a natural experiment before us in the rain. So it rained for about 15 min and then it stopped. We got in the car went where we needed to go and decided lets go see nana and papa. Still in our light coats the wind starts picking up. The girls are running and screaming enjoying the wind. It was so cute. By the time we were prepared to return home it was Freezing outside. So I had to put the children to bed at my parents house and we had a sleep over. It wasn't such a bad idea since I am still a little sick. Then this afternnoon the girls made lunch for me with their papa. Jasmine made me overseasoned, cold chicken noodle soup (best ever) maddie over buttered toast, Faith put a million crackers on a plate (she wanted to help too...my big girl) and my dad sliced fruit and celery. It was the sweetest thing and it overjoyed my heart to see such loving servant hearts in my girls. They brought it to me on a tray. Then Maddie, says " here is some ginger ale, can't get better without this" She is a charachter and she brings me so much laughter, They all do in there own little way. What a suprise and what a great group pf Kiddos.
