I have been sick with the flu for over a week and it has been very challenging for me. I have 3 beautiful girls from ages 2-9. We kind of cut back on assignments this week and I tried my best to take a break the best way that I could. All in one day my 2 year old managed to bust her lip, fall from a chair and slip in the kitchen. Thank God that she didn't hurt herself in the process. The next day she cut her finger on a can in the trash, trying to get to a colorful peice of paper that might have been candy in her eyes. Being a single mother that was the highlight of my week. My oldest daugher tries her best to help with teaching my 6 year old. My six year old said out her own mouth that she will just die if momma don't help her. So With an aching body, continual coughing, stuffy nose YOU NAME IT!! I got up and did what I could to help her out. My week consisted of lots of easy meals, no rest and 3 children that act like they can't help themselves LOL. I am thankful for the strength that I have conjured up to endure but after a week I still have symptoms that I just can't seem to kick cause I need rest. I tried to have my mom babysit for a few hours but by the time I got back she looked like she grew 5 more grey hairs, Faith (2) was Screaming, Maddie (6) was itching (she has eczema) she claimed she didn't want no medicine unless I put it on. Jasmine(9) goes into her shell and don't want to be bothered, all she wants is to watch hanna montana and go on with her business. The Duties of a mother are busy but Fulfilling in the end. Although there can be days that all the children decide to act up and your not feeling your best. Being a mother is a priceless gift that I can say that I am proud to tuck them in at the end of the night and know that God chose me for such a miraculous assignment as this. And I thank him for trusting me.
