About Me:
I am a single mother, homeschooling three beautiful, intellectual, obedient, and worldly young ladies, ages 10, 12, and 13 in Conroe, Texas (near Houston). I have been home educating for one year. My children and I chose home education because of the "politics" at our local school district and I knew my children would thrive in academics, if they had a curriculum designed for their individual needs, and that they have. I'm looking for a group of homeschoolers like ourselves. My children and I are interested in communicating with other familes, like us. I am a member of my local homeschool group, but I have yet to meet any single black familes, like ourselves. I'm just looking for support, recommendations, etc... from homeschoolers who can relate to us.

I decided to educate my children when my oldest was about 6mo olds. We moved back to Texas when he was 1 1/2 and we went to every homeschool group we could find.. I was terrified we I first learned about unschooling. When I saw the results (teens & young adults) they were bright intelligent free thinkers . That is part of the key for us. We enjoy thinking out of the box. I can share more if you like .
